This image represents drawings our local cowboy Skee Burkes did that his family provided. Skee rode his first ranch saddle bronc ever coming out of Chute #4 at Clay County's Pioneer Reunion and Rodeo in 2013. He called Chute #4 "his favorite place on earth." He won 2nd place in the ranch bronc riding that year. In 2015, his senior year at Henrietta, the hometown cowboy, Skee, won it.
Our community lost Skee on September 9, 2023 in a tragic rodeo accident. But his love for all things rodeo and bronc riding lives on through the images he left behind. This tee a tribute to our Henrietta cowboy, Skee Burkes, to showcase his artistic talent and deep love of Pioneer Reunion.
